Blue Room Sessions

Getting a bargain is always satisfying, and once again eBay delivered. I grabbed this blue vinyl copy of Dinosaur Jr's 'Blue Room Sessions' 7" for a really good price. Once again, this record was listed as an auction, and I got it for less than the lowest price that it has ever sold for on discogs, which was pretty satisfying as this had been on my want list since it came out back in 2018.

The name of the record ('Blue Room Sessions') is because these songs were recorded at the Blue Room, which is a live venue within Third Man Records HQ in Nashville, TN. The blue vinyl is the limited version, although I have no idea how many were pressed on blue. But the majority are black.

This is one of those records that is collectible but kinda pointless, as it contains two songs which are the first two songs on the 'Give A Glimpse Of What Yer Not' LP, which came out two years before this 7". OK, you're getting two slightly different recordings of these songs, but still... it's not exactly an essential purchase unless you are a diehard Dinosaur Jr fan. Or if you can score it for cheap on eBay.
