Super Test

So I went to see Supertouch play last year in London, which turned out to be a really great show. I was slightly disppointed when I got to the venue though, as I learnt that the test press of their new (aka reissued on vinyl for the first time) record was sold out. The label made 50 tests for the band to sell on their brief jaunt to Euroland, and just my luck they played the UK last, meaning no records were left. Within a week or two someone sold a copy on eBay for over $200. It seemed the world had gone insane.

Well, after leaving it for a while I have eventually tracked one down, which I am pretty happy with. It'll sit nicely next to my test for 'The Earth Is Flat'.

I may have a record collection, but you probably have a life.

That Eurotour was great but 200 dollar was ridiculous indeed. How much did your copy go for? (if you want to say that?)

Hope they come back soon!

Funny that a copy ended yesterday for 30ish euro. If I didn't bid it would have ended with 22ish euro.

The precies for this record really dropped.

To make it even more interesting the seller relisted the item and didnt even offer me a second chance offer.

This makes me believe, he even did some shill-bidding to drive up the price and obviously it wasn't enough to even make a second chance offer.

There's definitely something odd there. That same seller sold that exact same copy (no. 27/50) a few months ago. It went for around $50. I remember because i was going to bid but then forgot. Was probably a good thing.

Interesting, he should have used a reserve instead. No way I am going to bid on this.
