Integrity VValpurgisnacht Gold & Done!

Integrity week day 3... and it feels like not a week goes by that I don't buy a copy of the 'VValpurgisnacht' 7". So why should this week be any different?

This one's a cool one though. This is the gold vinyl with gold charlie cover. I think that there were 150 of these in total. I'm not sure though & I may be wrong. But what I do know is that 30 copies were sold in the Holy Terror webstore, and these copies were all numbered signed & personalised by Dwid. And I was both lucky and stupid enough to get one.

First thing to say is that the gold Charlie is definitely the best version I have seen... and the vinyl colour goes well:

The dust sleeve features a wax stamp and is numbered:

I was stoked to get the magic number (less two):

The wax stamp looks cool up close:

And finally, since this marks the end, I thought I would dig all copies out & snap them together. I guess technically I'm missing at least two versions (white vinyl with the wax stamp and gold vinyl in 'regular' gold sleeve)... but at this point I think I'm happy to call it a day. I don't think I want any more copies of this thing. I think 16 is enough.

And yes - before anyone says it, I know that I am a fucking idiot. I think we've all known that for some time now.

I got my hands on this one as well. I love how Dwid personalized it.

I love Integrity and admittedly just checked the Holy Terror webstore to see if they still have these (they don’t), but it kinda drives me crazy the way Integrity (Dwid, I suppose) tries to create these artificial rarities – 8 million colors for this 7”, some with a voodoo doll, some with a stamp of a little satanic creature on them, some with the lint Dwid found in his pocket… They all look great and I actually love the colors they came up with (although I never really thought of Integrity and bubble gum going together) but it just seems like a bit of a scam now that vinyl is popular again. That plus the endless represses upon represses of the Integ records from the glory days… I know most of them were on CD and not vinyl but seriously, how many times can you re-release Those Who Fear Tomorrow? Great blog, however. Love reading it :)

27 copies? 28 copies? Seriously? How? How on earth can you guys have 11 & 12 more versions that me? What the hell am I missing? Or do you just have multiples of some of the colours?

You're all MAD! I agree with Jeffrey 3 or 4 variants yeah but FFS that is just out of scope! Nice looking record and additional extras but still....

For the most part I agree with Jeffrey's comments. Even though I get sucked into this, in a lot of ways I wish I could avoid it.

The only thing I slightly disagree with is the repress of 'Those Who Fear Tomorrow'. I mean, yes, it was released about 800 times on CD by various people, but only ever got the vinyl treatment once... and, to be honest, it was a bit shit. The cover was poor and the vinyl colours and numbering were all kinda random. So the latest repress seems acceptable, or maybe even long overdue.

TWFT -- this was such a classic record and then I felt like its legacy got tarnished a bit in the late 90s/early 00s when all those random CD re-releases came out. Didn't Victory put a CD out with the songs out of order or some other nonsense?

I have one copy of the Toybox vinyl but haven't pulled it out in forever. I thought the packaging was ok and remember mine looked pretty good with purple vinyl.

I didn't really like the way the ICOS represses came out recently so I decided not to order TWFT. But seeing pics on a few blogs now I realize I may have missed out. Looks pretty top notch.

Jeffrey- are you implying that dwid from the band integrity owns a389 records? i may be wrong, but i believe that the a389 record label is owned by dom of the band pulling teeth. dwids record label is called holy terror records. walpurgisnacht was released on a389 and not on holy terror records. sounds like you just have some personal issues against this record. it also seems that you do not understand the concept that when a record sells out of a pressing, a next press is made if there is a demand for more record sales. record labels like a389 change the vinyl color for each press.

Its good to see people appreciate this record as much as me. There have been near 10,000 sales of it I heard, showing there is obviously a huge demand for it so if it sells out..you're going to repress it!
Also very glad about the TWFT repress since I am a bit younger and dont want to fork out some for an original pressing. Its also avilable for free download on HT's site so.. why would anyone complain?
